LG Chocolate Platinum KE800 in India by New Year

November 12th, 2006

LG India will introduced a enw high end model – Chocolate Platinum KE800. It does look like a swiss chocolate bar 🙂

The KE800 is a Tri-band GSM/GRPS/EDGE phone (CDMA Version is available in Korea and Reliance Infocom may also get it in India) that has a bigger QVGA (240×320) screen, a FM radio tuner, a 2 megapixel digital camera and a microSD/TransFlash card slot in addition to the 60mb internal memory. The new Chocolate Platinum has lesser memory (128 MB on the KG800), but the card slot takes care of that.

The new Chocolate KE800 has been given a complete revamp in the looks, still retaining the slider form factor and touch-sensitive main buttons.

It is expected to be available by Q1-2007 in India and pricing details were not yet available but it was hinted that it will cost in the range of Rs11,000 to Rs13,500.
